The Newport 137cm is a DC (direct current) ceiling fan that uses approximately 40% less electricity whilst producing the same airflow, with silent motor operation. The Newport ceiling fan is only operational via a 6 speed remote control, which is included at time of purchase. This fan comes with a light that has a GX53 lamp holder (globe sold separately) Don want a light? No problems, this fan comes with a cover provided to conceal this lamp holder and make it a fan only with no light.
